Message from the Chief: Juvenile Curfew
On Monday, September 5, 2022, County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks held a press conference announcing that a curfew will go into effect for juveniles younger than 17 in response to, August being the “single-deadliest month in Prince George’s County History”. This curfew is backed by civil penalties, including fines up to $250. The curfew will be in effect Friday, September 9, 2022, for 30 days between the hours of 10 P.M. and 5 A.M. Sunday through Thursday, and 11:59 P.M. and 5 A.M. Friday and Saturday for juveniles aged 17 and younger it (without special exception and adult supervision).
Glenarden Police Department personnel will remain vigilant and support this critical public safety initiative.
