PGCMLS Vaccination Clinics

The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System is hosting free COVID-19 vaccination clinics at select branches beginning Tuesday, November 23. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available for County residents ages 5 and up. Walk-ups are welcome. For more information, visit pgcmls.info/events.

COVID-19 Vaccinations for Children 5-11

Based on CDC guidance, the County Health Department will offer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to children ages 5 to 11 years beginning Friday, November 5. COVID-19 vaccinations for this age group are also available at pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and other healthcare providers throughout the County. Sports and Learning Complex Extended Hours

The Health Department’s vaccine clinic at the Sports and Learning Complex has extended its hours to better accommodate families with children. The clinic is now open on Fridays from 9 AM to 7 PM and Sundays from 10 AM to 6 PM. To schedule your child’s appointment, visit https://www.princegeorgescountymd.gov/3730/COVID-19-Vaccine.

Climate Action Plan Public Sessions 

The County recently released the Climate Action Plan (mypgc.us/climateactionplan –  prepared by the Climate Action Commission- a group of residents, experts and gov. reps from across the county) for public comment. PGPD Gun Turn-in Program

The County Police Department is partnering with the faith community to host a gun turn-in program this Saturday, November 20, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. Residents can turn in guns anonymously, no questions asked, and receive free gift cards. Please take advantage of this opportunity to help get guns off our streets.
